there's a couple different ways to type the copyright symbol but before I show you I just want to point out that I pulled up the on-screen keyboard but that's just a visual aid it's not something you actually need to pull up in order to use these commands now what we're going to do is press and hold the Alt key and then on the numeric keypad to the right we're gonna press 0 1 6 9 and when we release the copyright symbol pops right up so let's do that again press and hold the Alt key and press 0 1 6 9 and when we release the copyright symbol pops up another way that you can do it is by using the character map and you can pull that up by clicking on the Start menu and in the search box run a search for character map and click on character map now all we need to do is select the copyright symbol and then click on select and then click on copy then when we come back over here we can just insert our cursor and then press control V and that will paste it so there's a couple different ways that you can type the copyright symbol

hello there and welcome to today's video in this short guide i'm going to show you how to type the copyright symbol anywhere using your pc or laptop keyboard without any further ado let's dive right into the video before i show you i just want to pull out the on-screen keyboard since we are going to be using shortcuts this is just a visual aid since you already have your keyboard it's not something you need to pull up to be able to use this shortcut now to begin with first press and hold down one of the alt keys whilst holding down to this key come to the numeric keypad on the right then type 0 1 6 9 after typing the code now release the alt key as you can see the copyright symbol pops right up let's do that one more type just press down the alt key then type 0 1 6 9 using the numeric keypad on the right then let's release the alt key this is how you may type or insert the copyright symbol anywhere using the keyboard if you are using a laptop with a small keyboard that doesn't have a separate numeric keypad the following method will show you how to access this symbol press the windows key on your keyboard this brings up the start menu now start typing character map once you see the character map in the search results just click on it to open it when it opens up you'll see all these symbols all you need to do is select the copyright symbol over here if you can't easily find it click on this checkbox where it says advanced view once you check this box it will open up a few extra options and over here where it says group by change all to unicode sub-range when you do that it will open up this little dialog box with latin selected by default to find the copyright symbol simply select the general punctuation and as you can see it is right here to copy this symbol click on it then click the select button here alternatively just double click on the symbol once it is selected you'll see it here in the character to copy field then click on copy and it'll be copied to your clipboard switch back to your text editor and place your cursor where you need the symbol then press ctrl and v and that will paste it for you these are a couple of different ways that you can use to type the copyright symbol if you learn something from this video please give it a like and don't forget to subscribe for more useful content
