How to find copyright free music on itunes

Comment by Kelly Belnas

so finding high quality music for your youtube videos can actually be a huge challenge on the one hand you've got copyright issues with a lot of the good music and then on the other hand a lot of the free music is just terrible right so what are the best sites for copyright free music and royalty-free music in this video i've got three of my favorites and we're gonna jump into that right now what's up sean here with think media bringing you the best tips and tools for building your influence with online video and on this channel we do a lot of tech gear reviews as well as youtube tips and strategy videos just like this one so if you're new here consider subscribing and at any point during the video also check out show notes and links in the description below i'll list out all of the royalty-free music sites as well as any other tips in the youtube description let's jump into the video so finding great music for your youtube videos is very important music creates energy it sets the tone it sets the vibe and it really can be the difference maker between someone really enjoying a video or leaving a video and clicking away to something else but music is tough on youtube specifically because a lot of us would probably love to use popular songs from you know top 40 artists and billboard charts but the problem there is you're going to run into copyright issues if you upload videos with copywritten songs number one you might just lose monetization the monetization will go to the artist and so now that money won't be coming to you on your youtube channel number two it might not be viewable in some regions if it sees there's a copy written song on your video then maybe certain countries can't see it so that could affect your viewership and number three the worst thing that could happen is you could get a copyright strike and potentially get you know your channel in bad standing or even have videos deleted or taken down so you really want to be careful when it comes to copywritten music on youtube and so if you're looking for music the two terms to look for are royalty free music or no copyright music now there's actually a lot of good sites that you can pay money to get songs that you can use in your videos and they give you the permission and sometimes they can be great quality but this video is all about free sites so everything we're talking about is 100 not just royalty-free but also free in the sense that you don't exchange money to use those tracks alright so with all that said let's jump into the best places to get good music so my first recommendation for finding great music that you can use in your videos with no issues is the youtube audio library and if you're logged into your youtube channel you can just go inside of your creator studio go down to create in the lower left-hand section on desktop and just click the audio library then it opens it up and what's cool is you've got all of these different tracks that you can download to bring into your editing software for your videos and you can sort them by the genre by the mood in case you already know what kind of vibe you want your video even by the instruments by how long they are and things like that and actually youtube just uploaded a whole lot of new tracks which is very very cool now as far as the music quality of these tracks it's kind of hit or miss but there's definitely some gems that you can find in fact check these out and so i'd love to hear what you think about those tracks that we just listened to but those are from the youtube music library and again on this channel we do a lot of hip-hop music as well as kind of chilled laid-back kind of sample music and things like that but again there's all kinds of different genres here so even if you wanted more like a poppy happy vibe you've got that as well and then one other thing to note about the youtube audio library is they also have a lot of free sound effects that you can use in your video so if you just go to the sound effects tab you can look through here download whatever you want and then make your videos cooler than a polar bear's toenails that was a sound effect from the youtube library now the second set of sites that i would recommend for finding some great music for your videos are these youtube channels like no copyright sounds now this is a great channel it's got a lot of edm vibe type songs like this one right here and there's been a lot of high quality youtube channels like this that have been popping up lately including um trap nation this has got a great playlist of songs that you can use here again kind of more trap music edm there's bass nation so great songs on there and then there's also this audio library so some of those other sites again are going to be a little more edm upbeat which is great for maybe a lot of the vlogs and videos you want to edit but this audio library no copyright music channel has got a lot of cool songs for some variety of styles so if you kind of like you know casey neistat's kind of music vibe a lot of those style of songs you'll find in there or even just more upbeat poppy and not necessarily all edm for example i love this song called rock angel and this actually was used on a video on my sean cannell channel about my top seven personal development books so what are the best self-improvement books in this video i'm gonna share seven must read personal development books coming up and then another one to mention is called vlog no copyright so again sites like this are popping up if you go to the related channels you can find some other ones and we'll also post all the links to these in the youtube description as well as some bonus ones that we didn't mention but now here's a few important distinctions when it comes to these sites i'm on the vlog no copyright music site and on the about page it says this is great music that's free to download and use in your youtube and twitch videos but always give credit to the artist and actually specifically what you want to do is go into each individual video click on it and then look in the youtube description and what you'll see is it says you're free to use this song in any of your videos but you must include the following in the video description and it says copy and paste and so then what you would do is just select that of information and make sure that ends up in your youtube description and so that's typically what you need to do for compliance but research each individual youtube channel and even track individually just to make sure you get the right information put into the youtube description additionally you might be wondering how do i actually download the song so in this case um there is a link to the artist union where you can grab this particular song but also you might run into a case where they actually don't link to a place like that where you can download it directly and so if you ever want to download a youtube video um and actually download the video or just get the audio out of a youtube video my favorite piece of software is called 4k video downloader i just use the free version you know there's other few sites o

hey everyone this is grace from kapung and today i'm going to show you five awesome and underrated places to get no copyright music that you can use in your videos for social media if you don't know already most popular music is copyrighted meaning that if you use it in your videos on social media your videos could get demonetized taken down or even cause your account to receive a strike which are all things you definitely want to avoid with that being said you can still use music in your videos for free without these things happening as long as you use non-copyrighted music now there are a lot of places to find non-copyrighted music but a lot of these places won't let you access their music for free or they will have music that just doesn't sound very modern so to make the creation process easier for you i'll point you to our recommendations for where to get free non-copyright music that you can use easily in your videos if you're new here make sure to subscribe to our channel to receive all the tips and advice we have about being a content creator and growing your platform on social media and let's get into the video now one thing i will say before i dive into the places you can get good free non-copyright music is that you want to be careful when you are selecting music one place that a lot of people tend to go to is youtube and i definitely did this in the past it's easy to search for it's right there but the thing is that a lot of these channels and places that have non-copyright music they get that music from artists looking to grow their platform and brand but once they are bigger artists sometimes they do go back and monetize songs that were initially non-copyright i've definitely been there for videos i've made on my personal channel where i thought it was a non-copyright song and then later down the line like months or even years later i get copyrighted and i don't get that revenue anymore and i have to switch out the song you want to avoid all of that from the start and the places i'm about to mention for free non-copyright music will help you do that so i'm going to first go through all the places i recommend for non-copyright music and then at the very end i'll show you how to use this music easily to add it to your videos all the links for everything i'm talking about in this video will be in the description below so go check the links out so my first recommendation is stream beats by harris heller so harris heller is a twitch streamer and youtuber he is a musician as well and he created a whole collection of music for video creators to use in their videos because he himself has experiences with trying to find good music that's modern for his videos too while there's only four categories i feel like this is a good range you have more edm or upbeat songs that you can use for intros and outros and then more lo-fi and chill songs for maybe the middle of your videos or just like more chill areas you can just go through and browse the songs listen to them and then click download to save the actual file to your device now my second recommendation is thematic thematic feels a little more like spotify where artists have pages that you can browse through their songs and what i find really helpful with thematic is that you can see actual videos that these songs have been used in so just like previewing this to see what kind of music is used in different categories of videos on youtube when you browse music you can also search by genre or mood one thing you have to do if you do use thematic is connect your social media accounts such as youtube or instagram or anything else to thematic so that when you use their music it doesn't get flagged for copyright now thematic has a free version and then they also have a premium version i found the free version to be perfect for my needs but if you do want the premium version we actually have a discount code provided by thematic where you can get 10 off their premium plan using the code kapwing10 this code lasts until january 31st 2021 so if you want to use it go for it my third recommendation is the youtube audio library so this is a audio library that youtube has created themselves for their youtube creators and using their music can give you peace of mind because youtube actually gave it to you themselves they have a couple genres of music that you can sort through and preview and while i find that these genres are generally good for background music and upbeat music sometimes i do feel like they're lacking more modern tracks things like lo-fi but i still think they are a good easy resource to use where you can just click to download the songs and then take note of if the music requires attribution in the video that you publish or not my next recommendation is ben sound ben sound has a lot of different types of music i'd say it's generally better for more professional sounds for example if you're making a promo video for your channel or for a brand i used a track from ben sound in our what is kapwing video which was kind of just an overarching promo for our brand and channel their platform is also very easy to use they have some tags at the top for searching through different genres and then to download you can just click download right there the biggest downside with benson is that a lot of their songs can sound generic it's not as good for lo-fi or modern tracks like the other recommendations i've given are so if you're looking for more modern sounds definitely look at the options i mentioned previously but this is really good option to find more general music for more professional settings and then my last recommendation is soundcloud soundcloud is last on my list because it can be hit or miss but it does have some gems i'd recommend searching things like no copyright music in the search bar or royalty-free music to try and find some of these the annoying part is having to look through every single song checking what its copyright status is or if you can download it in soundcloud or if you have to go to an external website to download it but i have found some good music with soundcloud so it definitely still is a valid option now to actually use your non-copyright music you'll need to first download it from the site and make sure you take note of what kind of attribution you'll need to provide to the creators or the platform then you can take that audio track and upload it to whatever video editing service you use to add it to videos now if you don't know of a good video editing option or just want something quick and simple our product kapwing is a completely online video editor where you can add music to videos and make other edits as well it works on any device from computers to chromebooks tablets and phones so it's a versatile option basically to add your non-copyright music to your video you can just head to kapwing which is the first link in the description below start a new project upload your video and then go to the audio tab and upload your audio track there that audio track will be played throughout the whole video and the whole project then if you want to add more audio t
