How can i copyright my name

Comment by Pamila Zellous

all right hello everyone we're back with another video hopefully this is going to help you now we're going to be concerning ourselves with the international copyright actually it's a common law copyright now if you've looked into copywriting your your name if you wanted to call the name but you you might have found that the government tells you that you can't do it they say that you can register your copyright and pay two or three thousand dollars and then maybe they can do something however that's [ __ ] okay and it's the kind of stuff that they used to turn you off turn you away and stop you from using the common law now the common law is what's used for international business so it's spot of commercial law in other words commercial law is based on common law and that's because everybody in the world that does business have to sign on to the UCC which is the Uniform Commercial Code now the court systems and lawyers and everybody else will tell you that the UCC is useless but that's where you're wrong if you listen to these people you're gonna give up your rights so we don't want you to do that now the copyright claim is one of your most underutilized rights now you might say well okay well good as a copyright of my name well basically you can use it to protect yourself if you have bill collectors hounding you if you have this copyright in place you can send them a lot of it says cease and desist and tell them that they are violating your coffee righted protected property and if they don't saw they're going to be charged with a copyright feet now in this case in this particular document I think it's yes yeah any usage incurred will be fifteen thousand dollars in silver coins convertible at the legal lawful ratio now what you need to understand is that when you go to say a coin store and you want to buy a silver dollar oh let's let's say a silver eagle which is one ounce of silver that will cost you twenty four to twenty eight to thirty dollars to buy that particular coin so now if you have to pay a copyright fee of fifteen thousand of those silver dollars well that comes up to about three hundred and seventy five thousand of the Federal Reserve notes that you have in your pocket now do you think that might be a deterrent also yeah it is for these big companies they're corporations if they get in a problem money-wise you can shut their corporation down and all because of a little piece of paper alright now how would you do that well let's just say you got a bill collector coming after you for your for your car for instance well you do the same thing you send them a notice telling them that if the copyright sit in place and they have to cease and desist from using your copyrighted property now one letter from one of these companies usually has your name on it in up to the four places now that's a copyright fee of 50 thousand Silver Eagles per usage in the document so you multiply every time everything in there times however many times they put it to a name in there now you send them if if you send it to them and then you get another one another bill or they call you on the phone and mention your name anything like that they're violating a copyright so the simple thing to do is to send them a letter now this is what the IRS does one day come and take your house they send a letter the first one says very nicely oh you use my copyrighted property in correspondence that you sent me on and then you you get at the date that you've got this letter and you say this is a violation of my copyright and you did it at so many times so you owe me let's just say three hundred and seventy five thousand for one time okay so you owe me that I expect payment to be made by the end of the month and if not then you will be charged late fees and so for you oh you couldn't even get it ahead of this right up here you could stack them up let's put it this way by the time you're done that company that is looking for your car payments this is gonna oh you more than an act hours work now you say oh never gonna go along with this of course they just want you to ignore everything that you said to them now if you just sit there and get a load of the back from them saying no no you can't do that and you go away and you forget about it then it won't happen so that means that you loss but you didn't really lose you gave up you don't want me to give up you want to be like the bold up you want to be like at a pitbull going after these people you give it a do it the same way that the IRS those would come after you so that means you're going to send out six of these loves what she's trying to do is sort of build up evidence okay now what I usually do is the first notice and then if I got any more correspondence from them I would send them an invoice for the photo the fees the fees they will ignore it okay this is now you give you five days to pay they don't pay another one and you're gonna do that maybe five times but you're going you're not gonna stop there though after you send out the second to them now you do what is called an international commercial claim now this thing is set up to do the same job that your invoices and your copywriter doing but it is much more severe and what is is you're taking them to court now go have a spiral with the judge no in in commerce you send them an international commercial claim and that claim will turn into a lien a commercial lean on that bank or money and yeah yeah I have to set him up like three of those and then you can actually place Leon in the company and you immediately wants you to do that make it so that they can't borrow money in other words it is a company called dun & bradstreet the internet and you can check out and any company to the truth dealing with it done anniversary key to the record of all of their financial mishaps in the war so when you do that with them you've caused it a big trouble because now anybody that anybody that the bank wants to borrow money from not five sir they can borrow money your business so how can I do that I'm just Little Joe from Kokomo I don't behind me to do this work you can either do it on your own you don't over mediate eternities do you think for themselves now you say well you I've been doing this and collecting collecting documents books papers affidavits and all kinds of [ __ ] like that commercial law for the last scroll years now you get all the stuff but you don't know before you know it and it's almost impossible well for $30 for everything the law there's something in there about it to tell help you okay so you know you know I'll send you it was draw document my be added alright you got to read the whole thing word for word I don't know how many people have set at me one of these things that they are ready and try to use it this is the name and this paper in you know didn't write just put this to be able to work he says of the father would record they have written in the law but it is do it anyway and then one of the speedy yeah scissors of them they didn't he do you want it so for all promised if you've got a cyclic changes in your pile it's gonna be a was a year at the

here's a new question from quora how do i copyright a brand name i'm andre minkov the founder of trademark factory and here's my answer to this question well you kind of don't you cannot copyright a brand name copyright is also part of intellectual property a type of intellectual property but it's very different from trademarks copyright protects content protects books music photographs videos software but it does not protect brand names copyright is not designed to protect short phrases it's not designed to protect individual words is not designed to protect brands is not designed to protect brand names the only thing that the only type of intellectual property that really protects brands is trademarks and that's what you have to use if you want to protect your brand name so there's no reason in the world you would be copyrighting your brand name but good for you for thinking in terms of yes i need to do something about my brand name so that i own it so if you do want to do something for your brand that would really allow you to secure it as yours you would do that through a trademark i hope this answers your question and if you haven't done so yet make sure you subscribe now and get notified whenever the next video goes live and more importantly if you have more questions about branding about trademarks that you want me to answer make sure you post a comment below and i'll shoot a video just like this one and until then i will see you you in the next video
