hello everyone my name is Kosh and I'm a sister LOX consultant at bramble roots studio lately I've been seeing other sister locs consultants complain that the emoji keyboard on their iPhone is creating an ugly trademark symbol that doesn't exactly match the font of the text that precedes it here's a quick video about how to fix that issue by using the text replacement feature on your iPhone rather than the emoji keyboard first what you have to do is open up a search engine on your phone such as google and type in the phrase trademark symbols a page like this shift turn up then scroll down to a place where you can copy the unregistered trademark symbol and the registered trademark symbol we'll start with the registered trademark symbol and copy it and then go back to the home screen press settings scroll down to general go to keyboard and the text replacement feature here we're going to go to the upper right hand corner and add a new phrase our phrase in this instance is going to be the little R in a circle and the shortcut is going to be a capital letter R this teaches your iPhone that every time you use the capital letter R as a word by itself it should convert that are into the phrase which is the R in a circle for registered trademark then press save and there you have it go back to home open up your browser and then go back to the unregistered trademark symbol not the big one sign with the little one and then press copy go back home rest exciting's again go to text replacement upper right hand corner then your phrase this time is going to be the little symbol for an unregistered trademark then every time we type in the word TM with capital letters as a word by itself it'll tell your phone to convert those two letters into a single small symbol that is TM together then press save now we're going to test it out this is how it looks when you use the Emoji keyboard when you go to the emoji keyboard and you go to the symbols here's what an unregistered trademark symbol looks like with the emoji keyboard you can see that it doesn't really match the slender graceful text that precedes it and when you go to the emoji keyboard again and select the registered trademark symbol the are in a circle isn't much better now let's try using text replacement first we're going to write out our word that we want to trademark then we're going to put one space and then let's try the unregistered trademark symbol first so we're going to write T M as a word by itself and press another space then the only downside to this method is that you get an extra space between the word and the trademark symbol so all you have to do is go back and delete that extra space then you can try it again with the registered trademark symbol write your word and then space and then R and another space and it automatically converts go back and delete the extra space and you're all good you can see let me just test it out real quick to show you if you try to skip the space it actually doesn't work so what you'll need to do again is just write the word space and then whatever symbol you want to use as a word by itself and another space and then go back and delete that extra room sister locks is a registered trademark with the u.s. trademark office so it's more accurate to use the R in a circle so it looks like this the unregistered trademark symbol isn't inaccurate but it's just more accurate to use the R in a circle so let's compare this is what our text replacement options look like and this is what our emoji options look like as you can see it's much much much more graceful when you use the texture placement than the emoji because the text replacement will always match the font that precedes it and that's about it that's how you fix the ugly bold big bulky emoji problem we're riding out trademarks for sister locks
Thanks Bibi your participation is very much appreciated
