zam slow down speedy if you've ever wondered if your dream job is really a dream or if it's actually just a nightmare you've come to the right place it's the show that tackles the most unique gigs you won't find in your job search jobs unlisted presented by army los angeles fairfax avenue is a hub for streetwear a once niche culture that has since gone mainstream the strip here is home to some of the biggest brands in the world worn by people from the sidewalk to the runway now starting a clothing line is something a lot of people dream of but may not know how to do so i'm going to see how difficult it actually is the only thing is i have just 72 hours to get it done and the clock is ticking tell me if this is wacky oh you're comfy this is your brand you got gotta tell me what you want i like it we're [ __ ] you suck in 72 hours i have to create and design a brand have physical shirts made direct a photo shoot and open a pop-up shop so i have to meet with and get advice from someone who does this consistently and at scale the founder and creative director of chinatown market mike sherman where does one begin finding inspiration to create a brand because i i literally i have nothing i mean man like it sounds stupid but when i was a kid i started off my first brand with the name where it's from the little nostalgia points it could be just like you know what your mom's middle name is i mean at the baseline of all these things we talk about brand names and logos and just everything it starts off with just the main thing that means the most to you because you're always going to stand on the platform and tell that story for someone to ask you what this journey has been like of you know being a designer and then owning a brand how would you summarize it what would you say it's like it's like that cheesy ass line that drake says where he's like i was in the gym shooting while you guys were out partying like i hate saying that but i sacrificed years of you know fun parties and going out and all this stuff to build this keep those blinders on and keep it rocking all right so in here is kind of like the chinatown market machine room prototype laboratory everything in here is all about kind of sampling and kind of scaling it into production one thing that we've been really trying to perfect is actually these uv transfers so while this whole image here looks black and white it'll actually go full color when it's in the sun so when we lay this down we start to go over this oh whoa the whole graphic pops out so you know things like this to me as well is like what makes the shirt special and why you're going to be super intrigued so i'd even say let's go and put this down on the shirt and then you can start to lay things on top okay cool perfect now it's done and so literally from here don't burn yourself it's 350 degrees yeah we got to just go for it and so sometimes we got a little bit of those issues but we can work that out it's all good as we pop through there we get our full parrot so i'm gonna press this down once more just to seal it now how much does something like this thing cost you know man it's like for most basic cheapest easiest one i'd say probably like 500 bucks but a 500 investment could make you could make you all these things of course let me just hold it up this is it this is the first shirt exactly i've ever made what do you think i [ __ ] with the man i mean especially the fact that we got the uv effect the coolest [ __ ] i've ever seen so really just being able to come in here and then you come outside everyone sees this like that's where the thing goes crazy man i'm shutting the game down 100. you have gotten to a point at least where you know you can come up with an idea have it made by noon and shipped out the next day yep i only have 72 hours yeah is that enough time for me to do something at the end of the day you want to make it happen it can happen after chinatown i link up with gavin the creative director of supervision studios i stayed up all night messing around in illustrator creating logos and locking in my brand that i'm calling blur tell me if this is wack the name of the brand would be blur right um and the thing yeah you laughing already over there so so so the name of the brand will be called blur the way i arrived at that was that you know life's a blur and like if you don't pay attention life moves past really quick you know another thing is like my name is speedy and like things that go fast are like a blur i travel a lot and people would always say yo i just seen you yesterday but like now you're in this place so you know like speedy is the tie into like blur i think blur can be whatever you know we can define it you know what i mean and i think it's not a bad name um i think we need to work on kind of the message okay i wrote down some other what if it was just something like life's a blur have vision or like life's a blur see clear life's a blur stay focused just like something along how about this maybe build building around this idea like carpe diem you know life is a blur so like enjoy the moment you know what i mean i like that i like where you work okay so let's look at some of the designs if that's cool what makes a brand is not just a logo but it's you know the messaging behind it and the aesthetic of it and how it lives in the world we've made some great progress and so i feel like the next step on this journey is actually getting some stuff made we finally finished the designs and now is the point where it actually gets physically made i see my logo or the design there which is cool yup so my guy jose is here he's going to lay out the ink on the screen this is where it was called screen printing this screen is is a material that has a lot of holes in it so what he's going to do is drag the paint over it and push it through those holes and it's going to come out on the other side so the paint goes through the holes onto the shirt and that's what is the logo exactly and so how long roughly does it take for one t-shirt to complete one t-shirt from print completion could take a couple minutes oh so we're good then because i have a okay i was feeling concerned before we came in here that this stuff might not be ready because like i told you i only had 72 hours from start right and we're just hours away from uh the pop-up shop what is the likelihood that all of the items in our collection will be done by then i mean look honestly the nature of this business is always very last minute you're always on a time crunch so these guys understand they're professionals if we say we got to get it done by this this date they'll stay late night finish it and make sure you got what you need so they're used to working under a time crash it will be done yeah absolutely got to the factory is making great progress and we were able to knock out a few sample shirts in the meantime i had my producer book the best models available under this time crunch and i'm meeting them for the first time for a fitting on set before the brand's photo shoot it was important to me to create a brand that anyone can make their own wheth

all right what's going on everyone it's Tristan and today in this video what I'm doing is basically I'm gonna be going and showing you guys how you guys can start hi beast reselling I've been asked this so much like people always think Tristan how do you start out with high pastry selling what are the right things you need how much do you need to start with like I get at least like a few DM zayday asking like how to start reselling and I'm gonna be basically making this video to clear that up I've made plenty of videos to clear it up but this one's actually gonna be kind of like an in-depth one to show you guys how to start out properly so you can get off right and actually be successful in the future so I hope you guys will enjoy this video if you guys want more reselling content like this just kind of like anything to do with street wear you know I do a ton of variety of videos so you just want anything like that go ahead and subscribe below and also drop a like in this video let's see begin it over 150 likes in this video so everybody drop a like alright I'm back my camera died but let's try knit 150 likes in this video on a hit y'all with another reselling video very soon but I hope you guys will enjoy and you guys can go check out my Instagram is down below to my reselling one and my personal you know go check this out I'd be posting just post some heat in the reselling one so go check that and yeah I'm Tristan I hope this will be helpful and let's get started on this alright so let me get into explaining how you guys can start out with High Priest selling and reselling goods so you can build a collection or do whatever you want to do just make money I understand that so basically what I recommend is starting with it's a hundred to two hundred dollars that's usually a good starter amount and I kind of have to be more realistic some of you may be like laughing at me saying that but like some people aren't as fortunate you know some people don't just have a hundred to two hundred dollars you know just that's not nobody has that money to spend sometimes like not everybody's rich so that's a more realistic way to start is just start out with a hundred two hundred dollars that's how it works I think that's best now one thing that I really recommend that's really good with selling that you can find and that kind of hundred and two hundred dollar price range is use diesease you can find a lot of use diesease on instagram if you third deals if people are just like if you see counts that you follow like different reselling accounts which my recommendation which I'll get into it down the line a little more on how to actually start it up it's making a reselling account and then actually following accounts that sell like Easy's and different things like that you're into up all so you think all the people would be into that you can sell stuff too but also that you can Bostaph rama they got good deals young go check my Instagram down below I always be throwing good deals I throw profitable ones just sold some turbos earlier today for 240 and those go for like 350 so whoever I just sold those two are gonna sell and make like 50 bucks you know I'm always helping the people out and I made money on that so I'm not even taking tho else I know how to get the deals and I'm gonna explain how to in this video also but use easy as you can find them on Grail you kind of can find them on the internet but I really recommend going on grilled and Instagram this is kind of two really good places to find you see Z's and I going when you go and grow and then searching for EC's make sure you legit check every pair all the pairs you get because I don't want anybody taking an L you know and accidentally getting a fake pair cuz then you just lost money but you can go and grow and look for fake pair just look for Yeezys and try and like you know search it and organize it from like the lowest price to highest price on like the lowest price one or like the one that you think is a really good deal and try and throw an offer because people are always willing to negotiate you have to think about that when entering the reselling game people like me everybody always willing to negotiate with your prices so you know if you throw price and you know it's a little lower let's say they got a pair for 200 you throw 180 they may take that and let's say it's like a really good condition pair you can go sell that like there's plenty of easy set you can find out there used for under 200 so go check grilled go choke this apps versatile products and kind of place to kind of start out on how much to start with that's like the first little thing I also recommend supreme drops you can tune in every Thursday for supreme drops usually they have a few profitable items and you sell out fast but if you're into kind of comping hype drops you're good at it you can make money reselling the items you get from those and also something I recommend if you get like a pair of Yeezys or something a lot of people actually trade up like you may have seen on YouTube the trade up like challenges and things like that you can actually trade your items for more valuable ones if somebody's like really looking for a pair of Yeezys or like some supreme item you got you can trade that item online or with someone in person or something of higher value or better value and you can then go sell that and actually then make your money there so that's one way you can professore trades are definitely a good way to profit however you got to be super careful with trades I recommend that you get the person to ship first to you so you can actually see the item it's everything looks good you check it out and then you ship whatever they were interested in to them so obviously that's what I do I always make people trade first with me usually I mean I've had a couple people were we've traded at the same time and if you have someone that has good references you can trade at the same time with them it's most likely safe you just got to be careful always ask for references with doing deals with anybody a trade you're buying someone off some that are buying something off someone don't do business with someone with no feedback now obviously if you're just starting out of business and you don't have any feedback explain that I'd like you know just don't do business with someone that has no feedback because that is just that's us and that's how you take a big owl so don't do that but if you kind of see with the point I'm getting to there's kind of three main platform side of discussing that you guys should really look into when selling stuff cuz I've kind of explained where you can buy stuff I'll get into a couple items later on in this video that you that are better to buy for profit and like different kinds of items that are better to buy for profit down the line I'm kind of getting into like my kind of three places to I recommend where you guys go sell stuff which is grilled Instagram and eBay so how about we talk about those a little bit okay now when reselling an Instagram I recommend that you sell through PayPal zel venmo and C
Thanks Taunya your participation is very much appreciated
