what's up everybody welcome back to my channel so in this short little tutorial i'm just going to walk you through a simple tweak that you can use to check for the publication date of the website so if you have a web page open and you want to know the publication date of exactly this website or you want to know the publication date of this articles like wikipedia but you're kind of confused and you don't know how to do it so don't worry because in this tutorial i'm going to show you the simple way the simple trick in order for you to do it so let's jump right into the video so the first way is for you to copy this link the first one for you in order for you to do that copy the link of the website now once you copy the link of this website then paste it in google just paste it in google search engine now once you paste this link in google search engine now all you have to do is to come to this place and before before the link right here sorry i'm using an on-screen keyboard now before the link right here before the link right here just type exactly what i'm about to type type in just type in u r l in url then shift and then you put an apostrophe in url put and i think this is semicolon now you put a semicolon and then you search now this is how you check for the publication date of the website now once you click on search then google will just immediately search for the word for the uh hell that you just posted so let's let's now once google clean is searching for that now this is what you have now as you can see that this is the website that we have here and if you look at this section here it shows that this website was published this year 2020 by third april this website was published april 2020 on the 20th of april and that is when this website was what was published so you can use this first method to charge for the publication date of a website let us try another website let's assume i have a website like these and this is freesoftwarefiles.com then i come here and then i copy the link and then i paste it here before these i press the link here before this and then i paste it there now i click on the search button let's see let's see what happens when i click on the search button now as you can see these this is this the website right here and then if you look at this section you will see that this is the publication date of this website this website was published during the market 29 2018 so this is the first matter you can use to check for the publication date of a website the second method you can use and that is my most favorite method is to come to this website and then you're just gonna search and look for the what view the what the page starts of the website now once you are right here on the page source of the website now all you just have to do is that you just have to press control f control f on your browser and once you press ctrl f you'll be able to find the the find the find t define tab here will open once you press ctrl f now all you just have to do is to search for date now once you start for date once you search for date now you see something like this date now you see that this content was this articles this article sorry was modified the modified time of this article was exactly 2018 and i think this should be maybe december and then it was then now you can see that this is the date this this website was published if i come to this place if i come to adobe for instance i come to this to this website and then i say all right i want to view the sauce page of this website now if i come to this place and i see i want to view the sauce page of this of this website and then i click on it now once it finish loading then i can just view the what now once i click control f right here that i want to search okay starting with an obvious statement here but stick with me are you ready here it comes students are using website more than ever to research essays report and assignments hoorah Thank You captain obvious but here's the catch with this situation it can be a total nightmare trying to work out the date or publication of websites journal articles and scientific papers simple it stays on the front page at the very top books it's like a page or two inside the front cover usually simple done even blog articles usually have a date with them but trying to find the date of publication of a website can be a real headache because not only does the website very rarely have a date it was published that's shown but technically you really need the date it was last updated because of course the beauty of websites over books is that they can easily be updated so I have a small but mighty trick for your teen and it sounds super techie but I promise you it really isn't granted a very clever and technologically intelligent student told it to me but if I can do it anyone can do this now a quick heads up as far as I know this only works in Google Chrome so if you're using Safari or Firefox you're gonna need to download it Google Chrome to do this then step one go to the web page where the source or the quote or whatever the reference is then step two whilst on that page type this text into the web address bar and yes I'll type it into the blog so you can just totally copy and paste this you have to type in JavaScript : alert open bracket document full stop last modified close bracket okay JavaScript : alert open bracket document full stop last modified close bracket now it doesn't work for every webpage but my experience is probably about 60 to 70 percent good but overall I think that's pretty good and if say your teen has 10 sources and it saves them maybe 10 minutes of searching for the date on a webpage for let's just say six or seven of them then hey that's like an hour's worth of time saved and if you're a lover of time efficiency like me that's super good bonus trick that your team can do as well I emailed myself that text so now instead of having to remember it I just go to that email copy paste it straight in to the web address bar and hey if you or your team has any other tips and tricks like this definitely feel free to share them with me it's KD price at rock-solid steady calm day you or drop them in a comment below this blog post not only will I love you forever but I also promise to share them with our community of parents and students so I'm Katie price great transformation expert I hope that saves a ton of time and bother searching for a webpage date for referencing and bibliographies in the future for your teen and until next week let's make this a fantastic week

Thanks Eloisa your participation is very much appreciated
