everyone's got a silly and welcome back to my channel happy new year to all of you I have been wanting to make this video for quite some time and what a better time than now is the beginning of the year and a lot of us are thinking about ways to earn extra income and how can we make you know additional money to bring in money and if you retire like me I'm having additional income coming in every man you're in a monthly retirement your pension or you know whatever you're getting you know it helps a lot so I wanted to share with you how to I'll start it for me what I have on the market is lace wig straps and there I have a lace wig support strap which is clear and a lace wig closure straps which is flat so just to give you a little idea of how I started from me now we all sing videos on youtube on how to keep your wigs from slipping bag so if you have quite a bit of hair loss or no hair like me my hair is you know completely shaved then wearing wigs and trying to get them to stay on it's going to be a bit of a problem so we all started off just sewing the elastic on but it would be too tight and it will give us a headache and I decided that you know there's got to be a better way and I started just you know setting down at my sewing machine trying to figure out how can I you know make this strap so I can be comfortable for me so I decided to play around with a lot of fasteners and hooks and velcro and I got my hands on some of these fasteners they're just the clear double loop fastener looks like that and I started playing around with it and I came up with a design and actually that I have dropped open um so my divine is pretty much just slide in it and tight tight in it it's an adjustable wig strap so I started searching the internet under wig straps and I had never seen anything that was adjustable all I saw was velcro and then I saw some was some little I guess they were clamps you clam them on and you pull the the string and tighten it or something just a couple weird things out so there wasn't anything with a sliding a fastener on it so I decided that I wanted to pet my idea so I'm not I didn't patent the fabric I patent the sliding fastener so when you decide that you want to do a patent the whole process is a year and you're talking to a patent attorney and by the way i did my all online through legalzoom never ever met any attorneys in person everything was back and forth email communication or a couple phone calls so this is what a patent looks like I blocked out my name and as you can see at the bottom this is what I penned I patented the fastener onto the strap so when you do get your patent everything that's included I think the whole price of a patent is 1300 so they do are your they're called cat designs they submit everything for you you just give them a check and you get your pen back so my patent as you can see it was effective November of 2013 so I kind of sat on it for a little while I didn't actually decide to make a lot of straps and you know fell right away because I didn't know you know well now I have this patent man i'm making the straps how do i sell them so i decided that i would sell them on SD because st is a you know a pretty much where everyone sells a lot of homemade stuff that they make and I also have a friend that makes these really beautiful dog collars where she puts rhinestones on them and she um laminates the um you know their little tag she types it up on a computer and runs it through a little laminating machine and cuts it and and puts it on the Tetons you know that was that's her business and she was selling them st and doing really good so i decided to sell them st and s you didn't work really good for me because they don't give you they don't help you out with any advertising or marketing you pretty much have to do everything yourself so i was making a bunch of marketing videos and what i know now about marketing videos that i didn't know then is that you need to put a disclaimer in the front that this video is for marketing purposes and disable the comments and then they need to be really short like two to three minutes but i have a lot of videos on wig stress but they seem to be doing okay but that's what i learned going forward so s it didn't work for me so then I decided to look at amazon now amazon is great and i'm going to show you i put my straps on amazon around april of 2014 and i'll show you how much i made selling all of 2014 and compared to what i'm a auto 2015 so I'm slowly slowly a climbing but my goals for my waist straps is to see them in every beauty supply supply store and getting that type of distribution is a whole nother level I'm not there yet I talked to a distribution company out of Utah and they told me that I needed to least be selling 100 straps a month and i'm not even nowhere near that now so i have a long way to go so you see people they start off and they're selling on amazon and it's a product that they they're making their probably be selling that product for a good five years before there at that level that a distribution company will even look at your product so this is how i started i'm going to just show you some things and so to make the black strap i bought this is I believe a thousand yards of just regular black elastic I cut them to a certain length i believe this is 20 inches i don't know right off and then from there i sit down at my sewing machine and I so the strap and I add the fasteners on to us so anybody can sell a wig strap but if you sell a wig strap with sliding fasteners it violates my patent and I can send a cease-and-desist letter or take you to court so that is why you want the pen and then you you could you what I understand is you just more distributors or work with you if they know that your your product is protected okay so this is how i came up with a black strap or how i make the black strap now the clear strap is pretty much for double-sided wig tape the black strap it just goes across the bed and you see me put it on my wigs a millions of times when I put my wigs on on the video it this is the black strap and I can tighten it and loosen it the clear strap however goes all around the head and you put your double-sided wig tape on it so I from the clear strap and I have experimented with several different types of polyurethane I started off with this polyurethane it's a pretty flimsy and it leaves a little white film and then I came across this thicker polyurethane and I loved it so um you know everything you pretty much have to order in bulk so this was a three-tier and it's raveling all over the place so from the long row I cut them according to my prototype in this pretty much is 24 inches and then from there I sit down at my sewing machine and I make the strap I keep losin it so from here it goes to here so now next you have to think about how you want to package your strap so I went on lying and started looking at different types of packaging and I order these little clear plastic they look like this just a little clear plastic bags and i ordered a thousand of them I haven't I'm almost done I haven't have I have one bag left

for those of you less experienced Amazon sellers this video is going to be perfect for you if you guys are doing product research at the moment you need to be very very careful about the next topic I'm gonna talk about many of you guys many many people have been messaging me and asking me to look over product and you guys know I do that for you I do that because I want to help you guys and see success in your businesses so I take a look at these products and a lot of them are either patented or they are restricted products and I cannot put it into words how many times I have seen this happen and how many times I had to stop people from putting in their final order so today we're gonna talk about it and I'm gonna break everything down for you were going to show you some examples and stuff to stay away from and exactly how to spot these niches and these products so that you don't end up losing thousands of dollars with your first product on Amazon if you guys do not know I am now an expert on this subject because I myself have put out a patented product that I lost thousands of dollars on so now with any product I go into I make sure that it is not patented and it is not restricted because I am definitely not going to make that mistake again so guys learn from me if you guys are ready let's get into the computer and I will show you guys alright guys so let's get into it basically I have a few things that I wrote down on she next to me so if I look over that's the reason again guys I cannot stress the importance of these videos of this video and I am going to make sure you guys do not make the same mistake I did so like I said I'm gonna talk about restricted products and patented products I'll show you guys how to spot them the first thing let's talk about restricted products and I will show you guys some of those examples right now and how to spot these this is a very classic case of a restricted product basically these are some small magnetic balls and they are restricted only for the reason because they're a choking hazard they're very very small and I think you can't have magnets below a certain like you know dimension so these are actually very very tiny and they're a choking hazard but when you come in to jungle scout and you let's say you're a novice and you're you know looking to sell products on Amazon you're looking at this product you're saying WOW you know it's small it fits in a shoebox it's not really breakable it's very light and the thing will be good and the the profits and the margin on this is insane you know 29 reviews making ten thousand twenty five reviews ten thousand seventeen thousand one hundred fifty five reviews you know looking like a pretty good market fifteen thousand so you know you go into it and then little do you know after a week a day you know a month two months the product gets taken down now I don't know why Amazon does this but basically you know the algorithm ends up catching you and taking down your product so I will show you guys one like really really cool way to do this but before we do that I'm gonna show you guys the big way you should be doing it's a little bit longer and be a boring but definitely you know check this out before you actually end up investing the product you want to go to google and type in Amazon restricted products okay and it's gonna come up a list okay there's gonna be a list literally everything you cannot sell you know the categories you cannot sell in and just go in and look through this stuff okay just go through this so that's one way of checking if a product is restricted or not just go into the restricted part list and that's that I'll show you guys another way a little bit later but let's just move on to the next product if you guys don't know a lockpick sets also look incredible super profitable let's open up the jungle skate I'll show you guys exactly how much they're making so look at this twelve thousand with zero reviews thirty thousand with seventy one reviews so so they're definitely a ton of people here making like good money there's some that are obviously not but their products are pretty bad but really awesome product and this is also a restricted product obviously Amazon doesn't want you to sell this stuff there are people selling here but you can be guaranteed these people will be taking down you know eventually so if you guys are doing this for the short term you want to make some money now go for it if you guys don't know though if Amazon takes down you're listening they will they can hold the funds that you've made and and not you know pay you out that money so you definitely do not want to even be trying this for the short term maybe your money will go through but most likely you will get there will be hold on it and they will see and you know pretty much see if they want to give you the money or not so be very careful with that don't break tos in that sense the next product is the ultrasonic pest repellent this is such a popular product that people have been messaging me because you know their season just that's committed and now and so many of my students have been coming up and asking me is this a good product sell should I sell this product because you know there's no one there's literally no reviews here so another way to check is you know a product that is making so much money let's say so I mean should open up the jungle show you guys how much money they're making you know a ton of money everyone almost is making like a crazy amount of money 160,000 with 40 reviews what in the hell right so if someone is making that much money why do they only have 41 reviews if there are literally 5300 people buying this product a month why is there only 41 reviews let's open up this listing okay and I'll show you guys how long they've been selling for so maybe this guy wasn't selling for that long so we're gonna wait up wait for the keeper graph to show up and basically the key for great people graph is gonna show us how long the person has been selling and you know their sales ranking stuff so as you can see this guy's only been selling for thirty days he's been selling for thirty days that's like that's a red flag right when you see people and if you just go through the if you just go through the you know the party I'm not gonna do it you can go through the different products and see how long they've been selling and if they've only been selling for a few months you know that this product is really sketchy the reviews are low and everyone's only been selling for a few months that means that people are constantly getting removed and taken down those are the restricted products okay that is one way of looking those are the two ways of looking at products so you know go into the restricted product list and go into you know looking at the reviews versus how long they've been selling for you know if they've only been selling for thirty days and the whole niche is you know only been selling for thirty days that means that the like and they don't have many reviews that means that the people like Amazon keeps removing less things and people keep coming in an
