has this ever happened to you you're typing a document may be posting comment and social media or maybe you're creating your own email signature and you're trying to find that TM or an R in a circle symbol for registered trademark copyright symbol and it gets so frustrated because you can't find them anywhere on your keyboard right so you go out there you Google you maybe ask some people around and eventually you find it but the next time you need to use the same character you still have no idea how to find it my name is Andre Minka from the founder of trademark factory and in my long years of being in this business I've typed these characters probably thousands of times and I figured it out the hard way so I created the short video what I'm gonna show you how you can find the team the artist circle and copyright symbols on Windows on Mac on iOS whether using Android and at the end of this video I'm also gonna show you a universal solution that you can use regardless of the platform you're using really really really simple so here's how you get the trademark and copyright symbols on a full-sized windows keyboard first you're gonna press and hold the Alt key and then if you want to get the TM symbol on the numeric pad you will press 0 1 5 3 and then you're gonna let go of both the alt and the 3 key that's how you get the TM if you won the R in a circle then again you're gonna press and hold the Alt key and then you're gonna type in 0 1 7 4 and then again you're gonna let go of both these keys and if you want the copyright symbol you're gonna press and hold alt and then you're gonna type 0 1 6 9 and then let go so if you've got a Windows laptop or any other Windows computer without a numeric pad on the keyboard here's how you access the characters first you press the Windows key on your keyboard it brings up the Start menu you start typing character map and once it shows up there just click it to open it up when it appears click on where it says advanced view once you click there it will open up a few extra options and where it says group by change all to Unicode sub range and when you do that it would open up another dialog you and it will default to Latin so if you want to find the TM symbol you would change it to let her like symbols first and you will see the TM symbol right there so double-click it it put added to this field where it says characters to copy and when it gets there you press select and copy and there you go you can base it back into your document if your try to get the ironist circle symbol you have to pick general punctuation in the group by dialogue again here it is are in a circle double click it and then select and copy and for copyright symbol same general punctuation here it is double click it select can copy and then you're done so here's how you access the trademark and the copyright symbols on a Mac first you want to press and hold the option key and then if you want the TM symbol you're gonna press number two and then you're gonna let go both these keys that's how you give the TM if you want the are in a circle you're gonna press and hold the option key and then letter R and then you're gonna let go of both of these and if you want the copyright symbol you're gonna press and hold the option key and then the G key that's how you get the copyright symbol and here's how you type the trademark or copyright symbol on an iOS device it could be an iPhone or an iPad it doesn't matter where it's the same way you go to settings go to general you go to keyboard and here you got a check if you've got the emoji keyboard installed if you're like me and you don't you'll have to add new keyboard and when you get there find the emoji keyboard and make sure you have it here once it's installed you can go to the app where you want to type it could be the notes it could be the browser or it could be anything where you need those symbols and then you're going to click on the emoji button once you're there it's gonna be a ton of different emojis and you got to click on the button for symbols right there once you get to that screen you'll see a lot of different symbols you'll have to swipe all the way to the left until you see this screen and here you have all of the three symbols at the same place they ship like TM will get you the TM symbol you should click on the R in a circle it gets you an R in a circle symbol and if you click on the copyright symbol it will get you the copyright symbol plain and simple right and here's how you type the trademark and copyright symbols on an android you find the app where you want to type and then you go to the numbers keyboard and then the number screen you click on the equal sign right here and on this new screen you will find the trademark and copyright symbols so when you click TM it will type TM if you click the art historical it will type r in a circle and if you type the copyright symbol it will type the copyright symbol very very very easy or you can just go to TM f dot rocks /type TM f stands for trademark factory so TM f rocks /type it will open up a page on trademark factory website and from here you can copy all of these symbols and also if you want their HTML code so here's how it works it works from both desktops laptops works on phones and tablets works everywhere it makes it really really simple so TMF that Brock's /type for example you want the harness circle you click here copied and then you open the document where you want to copy to and you just paste it and there you have it if you want the TM symbol again you copy it and you paste it and if you want the copyright you copy and then you paste it and if you want the HTML codes zero if you're a coder there it is same for the artists circle and this is for the copyright symbol so however you want to do it there they are makes it really really simple for you to copy and use them when you need them I hope you found this video useful and if you did make sure you share it with somebody who like you needs to know how to type these characters and if you're an entrepreneur if you're running a business if you're building a brand I suggest you get on a free call with our strategy advisors and on that free call we'll be able to figure out your brand success plan whether it includes protecting your brand through a trademark or maybe some different strategy to help you succeed with your business so go to trademark factory comm and book your free call with a strategy advisor and we'll take it from there and until then I'll see you in the next video
